One of the most important things to Anthony Joshua is giving back to charity, his fans and to the sport. Creating opportunities for the less fortunate to let their greatness shine, thanking his fans who support him and make what he does possible, as well as donating to his old boxing club to inspire the next generation of boxers are all at the centre of what motivates him.
The body achieves what the mind believes, which emphasizes how important it is that AJ trains his mind and his body. He does this by maintaining a positive attitude and learning from any setbacks, and surrounding him with people that support him. If put to a difficult task, break it down into small steps to make it achievable and listen to music like AJ to make it fun.
Born in the UK, Anthony lived in Nigeria until he was 12 after which he returned to England to go to school in Watford. Aged 18 he began boxing, joining Finchley ABC and was quick to make his mark winning the Haringey Boxing Cup. Learn more about how Anthony became the World Champion here…
